We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Personal data is stored only for as long as this is necessary to fulfil the respective purposes or as long as statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. under commercial or tax law).

In general, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. Where personal data is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis.

Please note that data transmission on the Internet may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Hosting & technical service providers

For the operation and maintenance of our IT systems, we use carefully selected service providers as processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. These providers process data exclusively on our behalf and within the EU/EEA.

Server log files

When you access our website, the web server automatically processes access data (so-called server log files). This includes:

Purpose/interest: ensuring secure and stable operation of the website, error analysis and detection of misuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Retention period: log data is generally deleted after 7 days; longer storage occurs only in individual cases to investigate security incidents.

Contact form and contacting us

If you use our contact form or contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message) solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions.

Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract performance) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to general enquiries).

Retention period: until your enquiry has been finally processed or as long as statutory retention obligations apply.

Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without this data we cannot process enquiries or applications.

Applications

If you submit application documents to us, we process them exclusively for the purpose of conducting the application process. Legal basis: Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). If no employment relationship is established, the data is generally deleted six months after completion of the process, unless longer storage is required to assert or defend legal claims or you have consented to longer storage (talent pool).

Automated decision-making, including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place.

External content, cookies & tracking

We do not embed external content from third-party providers (e.g. Google Maps, external fonts, social plugins). All content is provided locally.

Our website does not use cookies and does not use tracking or analytics tools.

SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in the browser.

Transfers to third countries

Personal data is not transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA. Should this exceptionally become necessary, we will inform you separately in advance and ensure appropriate safeguards (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR).

Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the following rights:

If processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), www.ldi.nrw.de.

Legal bases & recipients

Unless otherwise stated in this policy, your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract performance), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest, e.g. secure provision of the website, answering general enquiries) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation). Data is transferred to third parties only if this is necessary for contract performance, we are legally obliged to do so, or you have given your consent. For the operation and maintenance of our systems, instruction-bound service providers may be used as processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy from time to time if the legal situation, our processes or the technologies used change. The current version published here always applies.
